## Reviews summary

### Secondary ratings

- Customer support: 4.5/5
- Value for money: 4.2/5
- Functionality: 4.3/5

### Rating distribution

- 5 stars: 79 reviews (73%)
- 4 stars: 14 reviews (13%)
- 3 stars: 5 reviews (5%)
- 2 stars: 1 reviews (1%)
- 1 star: 9 reviews (8%)

### Most mentioned pros

- I really like that we can all have most of the same information for jobs, and clients and we can all have it from one website and not have to use a bunch of different apps.
- Easy to use system I really like the automation features where it reminds our customers of their free estimates and their past due invoices also doing the estimates is very easy on single ops and scheduling the work as well
- SingleOps has solved our current challenges in that respect and clearly can support us through our next (several) stages of growth.

### Most mentioned cons

- ignored , they are rude poor customer service with the whole process only to continue charging me so I had to contact my bank for stop payment.
- At first, we started out with an up charge for credit card processing fees and when customers would run their cards the system would automatically insert that charge for the customer then as time went on they later discontinued that feature now we have to figure out how to get it put on line items and it’s really quite annoying.
- I have had to go through and add an * to all of my vendors and now I have to do it again. Why am I paying for a program that causes me double work?

### Single Ops is terrific software for most any small business.

- Overall rating: 5/5

- Industry: Farming
- Company size: 2-10 employees

Great. It is an accurate program and the user tutorials are good, and personal technical help is timely.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

It is simple and affordable but comprehensively covers my needs as a small business owner.

#### Cons

I would prefer a better invoice design. Some of the other companies offer a legal size option that could provide a tear off portion so the customer can send paper in with their payment (if paying by check) and can still retain an invoice with information. I would like the note section to be better.

#### Reasons for choosing SingleOps

Cost vs actual needs. I have recommended SO to current Pest Pac administrators who now run both programs to address special needs.

#### Reasons for switching to SingleOps

Too expensive, terrible customer service, ridiculous updates. But I preferred some of the features that their invoices provide for me as an administrator, my technician and the customer.

The integration process was super helpful. We did not know what to expect from the integration meetings early on, but they were super helpful and taught us a lot along the way. Some of the layout and functionality we had to get used to, but the process made it quick and more complete than we would have found on our own. We have had very few questions since "graduating", but when we have needed something we have received quick answers and easy solutions to our questions (Thanks [sensitive content hidden] !). Overall SingleOps has let us keep better and more complete track of our sales process, our clients, and our business while taking less time to do. Its been a crucial component of us growing to serve more clients.

#### Ratings breakdown

SingleOps has solved our current challenges in that respect and clearly can support us through our next (several) stages of growth.

#### Cons

It took a little bit to get used to. Some things did not feel intuitive initially.

#### Reasons for choosing SingleOps

Didn't love previous experience from another company

Great! Awesome team. Very helpful and knowledgeable about the software. Specifically, [sensitive content hidden], our on boarding specialist, has been a huge blessing. I am blown away at her patience and diligence to keep the train rolling with us. As a business who is performing work alongside the onboarding of the platform having someone like [sensitive content hidden] has been pivotal. Can't thank her enough for her professionalism, great attitude, and help throughout the process.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

As a landscape design + build company, we have looked everywhere for a platform to help scale our business effectively and implement similar processes/systems we built in-house. We found SingleOps after years of looking. [sensitive content hidden] and the SingleOps team have been incredible to say the least. [sensitive content hidden] patience, attention to detail, follow through, and passion have been huge in the transition into the SingleOps software for our business.

#### Cons

For our business, we have a very detailed installation estimate we have created in-house. For how we use it and the level of detail we carry for each line item in an estimate we struggle to see us implementing that layer into Singleops for our large design + build projects at this time. Possibly in the future though!

#### Reasons for choosing SingleOps

Cost and fit were the things that lead us to SingleOps

Overall the experience has been GREAT! The onboarding process was absolutely amazing. We went through the entire process and the person I worked with from the team at SingleOps really listened to me when I explained what I needed the system to do and how I needed to see it on my end. They were thorough and when my onboarding was complete, I felt very confident in using the software and then teaching it to our team.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

We like that we have one system that does it all. From preparing the proposal in the field, sending that to our customers as quickly as possible, the CRM that is built in and then taking the same information and our field crew using it to complete the job exactly as it was explained to the customer. We used to have to take information from one system into 2 others and we were making errors and not all the information was being passed. This system makes it seamless and everyone sees the same information from start to finish.

#### Cons

I would like it to have a few more calendar features such a recurring tasks and appointments. Also the text notifications are not automated like the emails. I do wish that capability was there and hope to see it in the future. I also would like to see a few more personalization features on the routing software that truly allow routing to take place, but overall, it works and we have found ways to make it do what we want.

#### Reasons for switching to SingleOps

We were transposing information from one system to another and it was costing us time and money. We needed a way to be more efficient and more accurate with job information for our crews in the field.

Overall, we are very happy. It is definitely learning a new system and with that there are many hurdles. But, the patience that [sensitive content hidden] showed in training allowed me to take my time and learn all of the nuances of this new program. I truly believe I would have thrown my hands up early on in the transition process if not for our weekly training sessions.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

The training I received while implementing SingleOps was top notch! [sensitive content hidden] took her time and answered all of my questions. We met weekly to break down the training in manageable increments. Thank you!

#### Cons

The bidding and invoicing system are different than what we are used to using. The current invoicing system does not keep track of customer total balances. I have many clients who "round up" to the nearest dollar for their bill. Our old system would easily hold onto this extra money each month and keep a running tally of what the customer currently owed. These clients would then pay less at the end of the year to use their credits paid through out the year. The single ops system says the best practice is to return the additional funds through a refund. When it is pennies on the dollar though, the cost to refund is more than the credit they receive.

While we have had many issues with the initial set up and learning the ins and outs of SingleOps, the customer service has been fantastic. I'm sure they all are fed up with me as I seem to call out the many issues we have had. But I cannot say enough good things about their support team.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5

- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

As I deal with the financial side of things, I love how easy the invoicing from SingleOps is.

#### Cons

I wish there was a "history" to track who changed what. I also think that once a proposal has been sent to a client, it should be "locked" in a sense so that everyone can go back to the original to see what had been changed and why.

#### Pros

I like the ease of the program in creating estimates, invoicing, and client databases.

#### Cons

Some vital improvements:- able to print batches of forms such as work orders, invoices, etc. it is tedious to open each one and print- have drop-down choices for regularly used verbiage in estimates- have more flexibility with proposal layouts. There is certain information we would like columns for but crowds the form and would be beneficial for it to go onto a second line or have a layout more useful for. -

### SingleOps Is "Liquid Schwartz" For Our Business

Upgrading to SingleOps has driven massive increases in efficiency: it takes us less time to take a lead, less time to generate a proposal, less time to get work scheduled, less time to get completed work invoice and less time to get paid for completed work. All of those processes were paper-driven for us prior to SingleOps, so utilizing these features in SingleOps have saved us tons of time. We have been able to normalize our pricing by setting up systems of utilizing specific items across all sales reps with costs and pricing built-in. We are able to track labor and expenses on jobs quicker and with better accuracy which results in more trustworthy job costing, which then in-turn, helps drive our pricing methodology. Finally, the data captured in SingleOps helps us evaluate trends over periods of time to drive operating decisions. Do we need another crewmember? Would the time-savings from buying this piece of equipment be worth it? Are we making money working on this type of a property? This information can be looked up quickly and reviewed or neatly exported.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

The ability to keep jobs organized by items used, job type, sales rep, etc. has greatly improved our ability to track progress, schedule work, assign crews, purchase needed materials in a timely fashion, etc. We went from baskets and peg boards full of paper to a clean and efficient system of Job Management that has greatly improved our efficiency and productivity.

#### Cons

Hard to say what my least favorite feature is. In many ways, if there is some aspect of some part of the system that you don't like or don't want to see or use, you can update your experience via functions that allow users to save sorting criteria, for example. So within the Job Management page, if you want to always see the oldest jobs at the top or if you want to see different columns of data, you can make those changes and save the settings so the page will always load this way. When I have come across aspects that I thought could be improved or an experience that wasn't really working for me, I reach out to Support and I am always able to speak with someone who will listen to my concerns and either make an internal suggestion on how to improve something, or even help me to customize my experience or educate me on a particular function to show me how i can properly utilize something i wasn't understanding.

#### Reasons for choosing SingleOps

Of all of the great products available on the market at that time, SingleOps was able to handle several different types of jobs, customers, and scheduling and billing routines that we needed. Without making any drastic changes, within its core functionality (circa Q4 2018), SingleOps could handle: one-off jobs for tree work, recurring jobs for weekly landscape maintenance that are billed monthly, long-term one-off jobs for large-scale landscape installation, and recurring jobs for IPM visits that are billed upon completion. I had tested/experienced several products that were amazing for route-based repetitive services such as maintenance, but could not work for one-off jobs, and vice versa. Some were specifically designed for route-based landscape maintenance, others were specifically designed for tree work. We needed to be able to work from customer leads, create dynamic and thorough proposals with multiple prices, set up and schedule accepted work and subsequent invoicing at intervals our current customers were familiar with, and review the job data at the end to evaluate performance. SingleOps checked all of our boxes then, and continue to improve their product today.

#### Reasons for switching to SingleOps

Our previous product had been used for over 20 years, was very limited in its functionality, and very cumbersome to use. We needed an upgrade.

The exciting promise quickly faded in lots of tedious work. I still spend many hours each week cleaning up data and manually creating the reports we need. If I don't have good internet signal in the field, sometimes I can't complete the sale. I email the client later and hope I can still land the sale.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 1/5
- Value for money: 1/5
- Customer support: 2/5
- Functionality: 2/5

#### Pros

It does the math for us when calculating pricing.

#### Cons

The product did not match what was sold and promised when we first talked to Singleops. It's one of the least functional pieces of software I've used. And the user interface has no intuitive design to help you delineate on screen what you are looking at. Custom reporting was promised, but that is a half-truth. You can add custom fields and maybe they will show on the report you want. For almost any data I need, I have to run 2 or more reports, then manually edit and cross-reference my own spreadsheets to get the actual data I need. Horrible credit card interface, I have to type in the address that is already saved to the client profile. I can't view the address though once the credit card screen pops up.

#### Reasons for switching to SingleOps

The other software was clunky and difficult to edit.

Not upfront and honest about the cancellation policy and it is not clear in the terms and conditions. Seems the customer is just stuck if they don't like the program - even if the revisons were not done, the training was not complete and we never actually used the program live, except for some training samples. Not able to accommodate two states with different sales tax rates. The formatting of the templates is wack. The payroll reports are tricky if you work in multiple states doing multiple tasks.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 2/5
- Value for money: 1/5
- Customer support: 3/5
- Functionality: 2/5

#### Pros

It had some functions like checklist options for the proposals.

#### Cons

You have to buy the software for $3600 + upfront and can only get a refund of 75% if cancelled in the first 30 days. Unfortunately, it will take at least 30 days to get all of your personal info, banking, customer base and templates uploaded, set up and get the system customized. Then you have to begin the training. I was only able to do training once a week, so four one hour sessions. Not enough time to decide whether or not this is going to work for your company. Once we decided it was not the best fit for us as it was too slow and not really all that user-friendly for someone working in the field. Also, a bit expensive when you add your key field employees, office people and sales teams. We just spent $3600 on a program we never used. When I tried to get an explanation of why I wasn't offered the monthly plan here is the story we got: If you are on monthly billing you can cancel at any time. This type of billing doesn't have any commitments since its month to month. If you are on quarterly, bi-annual or annual billing you can cancel within the first 30 days and receive a partial refund of 75% of the total purchase price. When I told her we were not given that option, she stated: I understand your concern. We have a lot of clients that are grandfathered into the monthly billing so this isn't a billing service we offer actively to our new customer base. Hence, that is likely a reason the Account executive didn't offer this type of billing.

#### Pros

I like the integration between myself, our office and the crew. It's helpful to write estimates that are converted to work orders and then can be sent as invoices. It saves a lot of time.

#### Cons

It's not the most simple or intuitive software. There are aspects I haven't even tried to use because I don't have the time to figure out how to use it.

The implementation process was seamless. [sensitive content hidden] was absolutely amazing to work with. She listened to what our company needed and helped guide us along the way.

It is a change and new platform to learn which is a little time consuming. The one complaint is the timesheets part of it, we use a secondary payroll system for this issue.
