The product clipper makes it quick and easy to add products to your selections board and quote out items that are not included on the houzz platform already, making it easy to sell anything you can source to your clients. They charged me almost $6k for a service I did not want and have not used #### Cons They set me up on a free trial. My sales rep, [sensitive content hidden] intentionally misled me by explaining all costs in terms of monthly cost. Then at the very end, sends a contract that has me paying for the entire year up front. I had multiple conversations with them about how the service was not working out for me during the trial period and how I was going to be using a competitor instead. Rather than cancelling my account, they send me a link to cancel it myself. I fill out the form and forget about it. Months later when doing annual reconciliation of my business, I see I was charged $5,750!! They said they have no record of a cancellation form from me. I have not touched this app or utilized any service since the trial period. When I attempted to work with customer service to get my money back for a service I do not use, they flat out denied me. Shame on me for being in a hurry and not paying attention to that contract I signed. But for the company to show zero flexibility and common sense is unacceptable. Charging someone nearly six thousand dollars for a service they do not use is absolutely insane. Collecting my money on a technicality and not by actually conducting mutual business of money in exchange for services. They displayed to me that they are not a trustworthy company and do not have the ability to look at a situation fairly for their customers, I will absolutely never recommend this company, and in fact will be very actively steering my friends away from this service in the construction company. DO NOT USE THEM. Their competitors are much better, look up other options for construction software. #### Reasons for choosing Houzz Pro I didnt. It has been very easy for my crew to get used to using and all customer project information is stored in a convenient way. The features available really help cut down on time spent working on estimates, floor plans, and changes are so easy to make without getting rid of the quoted item completely. #### Cons The communication system is not what I had hoped it was. Customers have a hard time with communication through the app and you have to check your email threads. Even if it shows a customer looked at your estimate in the title, there could be a totally different client response in the same email. There is no notification in Houzz Pro itself nor is that communication in Houzz mail or chat. I also do not like that I cannot see the clock in and out times with our guys. I can only see how many hours they worked. I don't understand why i can't see those times. #### Reasons for switching to Houzz Pro Contractor Foreman is clunky. Information is not streamlined so there is a lot if second and third entry tasks. There are no 2D or 3D floor plan options. Every time the system was updated I'd lose full estimates, projects, or individual invoices petaining to a project. I learned not to trust it and now print everything out as a backup and all clients have a folder with info from the first meeting notes, all estimates sent, invoices, etc. Not to mention the crew could not get used to it nor did the app function when they tried. #### Vendor response Hi Norrah, thanks so much for the feedback? I should not have to pay even more each month for ultimate service. $200 / mth is definitely plenty and I've used Houzz for a long time. I also don't like not being able to use my sourced products in renderings yet. This needs to happen by now! The renderings still need a little improving on the visual side, but I do love being able to produce a more photo realistic image. The estimates look amazing and my clients love them and the client portal. #### Cons The latest update combined the labor and material. Now I can not see what the overall cost of material is for a project. #### Reasons for switching to Houzz Pro Cost, they kept raising the pricing. Houzz Pro has replaced 3 other software product we were using previously and gave us like 3 more that we were looking to purchase in the future #### Cons Sometimes certain features can be a little buggy, otherwise I dont have many complaints. But this year I almost switched based on support I was not getting as well as features that were once included in my package that were not this year. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 4/5 - Customer support: 3/5 - Functionality: 3/5 #### Pros Everything is integrated from measuring scans, 3d modeling, selections, schedules and invoicing it makes it so easy to complete everything in one place. I can collaborate with clients easily, get approvals etc. #### Cons Payment for clients has not been the best experience and many client complain about the fees and don't like giving all the information required to make a payment. There are bugs with collaborating with subcontractors. For long time users like myself the user support where I once had a rep has gone away and now I have no one to contact. Not loving that. The AI estimate creator is really helpful as well. I also like collecting payments through the system and like how the customer is charged for service fees instead of me having to calculate it and add it on my end. #### Cons I wish it had a few more functions similar to quickbooks for expense tracking and logging where I could eliminate my QuickBooks subscription and just have Houzz only. #### Vendor response Hi Oliver- Thanks for taking the time to leave your review. I love being able to make my estimates. Having my template ready to load is such a time saver. #### Cons The 3D floor design is moat confusing to me. Being able to click the floor to add vinyl or tile should be easy. I usually just skip alot of options because of how confusing it is. Also raising fees. I cut out zones to save money and price increases just bring it back up. Lastly leads are getting fewer and fewer. Slowly its starting to cost me more to have houzz then im actually getting from it.
